Avocado oil as a carrier oil
Oils are mainly two kinds; essential oils and carrier oils. Oils that are highly concentrated hydrophobic liquids distilled from the aromatic parts of a plant such as the root, leaves or other parts of the plant, and they are called essential oils. On the other hand, oils that are extracted from the seeds, nuts, or other fatty parts of the fruit are called carrier oils and these are used for diluting essential oils.
Essential oils have a strong scent, and they can evaporate, but carrier oils, including avocado oil, don’t have such properties
What do the studies say?
Many researches have been done regarding the benefits of natural oils for your skin, including avocado oil.
Whether it is used by itself or mixed with other materials, avocado oil is proven to have many unique benefits.
According to recent studies, avocado oil has beta carotene, protein, lecithin, fatty acids, and vitamins A, D, and E which make it an incredible moisturizer for your skin. It also protects the skin from UV rays and increases the collagen metabolism.
Additionally, an advanced 2015 study discovered that a variety of positive antimicrobial effects can be provided by a topical skin cream containing avocado oil, tea tree, emu, and jojoba.
Furthermore, according to a study that was done in 2013, avocado oil can help in healing wounds due to containing linoleic acid, oleic acid, and other monounsaturated fatty acids.
